While inline skates are best used on smooth, paved surfaces, there are models designed for rougher terrain. Off-road skates feature larger, softer wheels and more robust frames, making them suitable for gravel paths, dirt trails, and even grass.

Recreational inline skates are designed for casual, leisurely skating and are more comfortable for beginners, with softer wheels for a smoother ride. Fitness inline skates are built for performance and long-distance rides, with larger wheels and better ankle support for more serious exercise.

This is a fun one to answer!
Roller (Quad) Skates: These are your go-to for easy balance. With their wider base, they offer more stability, making side-to-side wobbling a thing of the past.
Inline Skates: These require a bit more skills in the balance department, especially at the start. But once you get the hang of it, they can feel more natural, similar to walking or running.
In the end, choosing between quad and inline skates boils down to personal preference and the type of skating you want to do. Why not try both and see which one makes you feel more comfortable
Yijiuyijiu Inline Skates are built to fit most foot shapes and can be adjusted with their lace and buckle system to achieve your perfect fit. You can find a size chart on each Inline Skate product page that features EU, US, and cm sizing – to assist you in choosing the right size.
We recommend choosing your EU size when purchasing your skates, and if you are a half size, we recommend going a size up.
Yijiuyijiu is for everyone – so to convert to Men’s US, we recommend going up two full sizes.
‘Inline skates’ is another name for roller blades. Just like you might have seen at the skate park or in the street – inline skates have their wheels all arranged in a single line, directly below the rider’s foot.

Learning to skate in a pair of inline skates can feel tricky at first, but with some time and persistence, you’ll have the basics down sooner than you think!
The trick is to focus on building a solid base of skills and then later moving on to the more advanced moves.
Focus on getting comfortable just moving around and keeping your balance to start off and build your confidence.
Your skates come with a brake plus two tools & a manual to help with the installation, which is included in the box. It will be wrapped in tissue paper & placed in the center of the box. Make sure not to throw it away!
Here’s how you install it:
1. Decide which foot you prefer to brake with, usually this will be your stronger leg.
2. Use the included skate tool and Allen wrench to remove the rear nut and axle from the chassis.
3. Grab the brake from your skate box and position it so the holes line up to the chassis where you just removed the axle from. Make sure the upper groove catches the latch inside the chassis. The brake should not move up and down if properly connected.
4. Remove longer axle and bolt from your skate box (this should come assembled inserted in brake unit already).
5. Place the longer axle through the holes in the brake and through the chassis, securing brake and rear wheel in place.
6. Tighten brake and wheel assembly to chassis using the skate tool and Allen wrench. Screw until tight.
7. Ensure the brake is secured tightly before use. There should be no movement in the brake at all.
The liners can be removed from the skate to be washed and air-dried.
1. Set the washing machine to 30° C (85° F)
2. Do not use strong detergent, softeners, or solvents.
3. Once done washing, remove the liners and set them out to air-dry. Do NOT tumble dry.
4. Be careful to keep away from any type of heat source.
5. Maintaining your equipment in good condition increases safety and ensures its longer life.
6. The liners are breathable, comfortable and are matched/designed for various appropriate skate and skill levels.
1. Unscrew with the skate tool and Allen wrench (both included in box).
2. Remove axle.
3. Take out wheel and wala! Your wheels have been removed.
If the wheels and bearings aren’t spinning freely, you may need to clean them.
For cleaning the wheels, you will need a cleaning cloth.
For bearings, you will need lubricant.
1. Take out all 4 wheels with the skate tool & Allen wrench.
2. Wipe off the dirt from the wheels.
3. Clean off axles.
4. Clean the inside of the frame with a cloth.
5. Remove bearings from the wheels
6. With a safety pin, take off the rubber covers or shields from the bearings.
7. Wipe off the grime. Avoid using water, this will rust the bearings
8. Apply two drops of lubricant to each and put shields back on
9. Be sure to put the spacer back between bearings before putting the wheels back in the frame.
10. Use one small drop of blue (removable) thread lock on the axle threads.
11. Install and tighten axles using the skate tool & Allen wrench.
